I should state some deeply-held beliefs that inform these thoughts. These beliefs cannot really be changed, and bleed into every bit of writing here.
I believe that,as Bob Haugen says,the future is not cancelled. The future is bright and getting better and Scuttlebutt is helping build that future. I believe our humble community will have a profound effect on the communities of tomorrow. I also believe in all of you, and know that y'all can do anything you can put your minds to, and your minds are crafting astounding things.
I believe in our optimistic future with the same confidence that I believe in sunsets, or hunger. This confidences informs everything I write here.
